Is This your Best Friend?

Tired of peeing every 10 minutes....

Solution? Botox for your Bladder!!!

The 411 on Botox Bladder

You get a wrinkle on your face and you think I need botox ASAP! But have you ever thought "i pee too much, i'm going to go get botox for my bladder". Well you can! Give that bladder a makeover!

Botulinum toxin (known as Botox) is used by the cosmetic center community to help alleviate wrinkles on the face.

Generally known to relax muscular tissue, when for the bladder it can relax it's muscle resulting in fewer visits to the bathroom.

3 Steps : The Procedure

The procedure is simple, quick, and can easily be done in a typical office setting!

It is usually done with the help of a Cystoscope under local anesthesia, but can also be done in the same day surgery setting under monitored anesthesia depending on patient's preference.

...and ladies just a heads up....There are no incisions!!!

  1. The bladder is examined carefully with the cystoscope
  2. Anesthesia is applied
  3. Botox is injected into the bladder wall through a special needle passed through the scope directly.
After the Procedure patients will notice a reduction in their urinary frequency and urgency about 5 days. (sigh of relief)

Symptoms to know

There are a few reported side effects and usually the effects will clear within a few days after the procedure.

  • Blood in the urine
  • Bladder infection  (antibiotics are typically given as a precaution after the procedure.)
  •  About 1 in 10 to 1 in 20 patients describe difficulty emptying the bladder after the procedure and may need to pass a urinary catheter intermittently to achieve complete emptying of the bladder for a few weeks post op.

Who can benefit on this treatment?

Women who use the bathroom more than 8 times during the day and may be experiencing frequent bathroom trips at night benefit from this Botox treatment.

What Critics are saying...

Women’s Excellence has monitored Botox for bladder control in the medical community since 2011 and feels that it is a safe and effective treatment for overactive bladder and urinary incontinence.

According to Dr. Jonathan Zaidan, MD, FACOG, owner and bladder specialist at Women’s Excellence, “At Women’s Excellence, we have the Botox procedure down to a science and I would highly recommend having it done in the comfort and convenience of our office setting. Most patients tolerate the procedure very well, maximum benefit is obtained in about 2 weeks, and the treatment lasts 4 to 9 months”.
